Linear motion of a magnet - 3D

Hi, i need to implement the linear motion (at constant speed) of a magnet over a ferromagnetic tube. My goal is to plot the behaviour of the magnetic flux inside the metallic tube. The problem that i'm encountering is connected to the fact that linear motion couldn't be implemented by the Velocity (Lorentz term) in 3D simulations.

Do you have any idea about how to solve this prbolem? Thank you!

Hi Davide,

You would need to use the coupling of multiple physics here if you are using (5.3 or older). a. Magnetic Fields, No Current - for modeling the fields in the magnet region and at the interface of moving and stationary domains. b. Magnetic Fields - for modeling the fields in the current carrying region (induced or applied) c. Moving Mesh - to introduce the motion of the magnet.

However, in 5.4, the Rotating Machinery, Magnetics has these three physics coupling already built in. Hope this helps.
