Generating mechanical waves in a tissue phantom having different shear moduli
I have been trying to simulate mechanical waves in a phantom tissue, having some different tissue properties such as shear modulus, using COMSOL. When I used poroelasticity waves under Acoustic Module, I could not simulate the waves since COMSOL gives an error. Therefore, I have been using Initial Stress and Strain Module under Solid Mechanics in order to generate mechanical waves; however, I am still not able to simulate mechanical waves.
Could someone please help how to generate mechanical waves using Solid Mechanics module? Should I use Initial Stress or Strain or something else in order to generate mechanical waves? Also, I want to generate the mechanical waves from a specific part of the phantom and observe its propagation in other tissues. Whereas, the mechanical excitation waves is about 50 Hz.
