COMSOL Multiphysics GmbH in Zurich, a member of the worldwide COMSOL Group, seeks a highly-motivated engineer or scientist to help us increase the sales of our state-of-the-art Multiphysics modeling software. To sustain our growth we are expanding our Zurich-based sales office. The qualified individual will have a talent for understanding customer challenges and clearly explaining innovative solutions. That person will take on a wide range of responsibilities and be part of an entrepreneurial environment yet have the solid financial backing of an established company.
Primary responsibilities:
- Establish, nuture and develop contacts with potential customers
- Inspire our prospects: engineers, managers and scientists
- Provide product information and help to identify customer needs
- Create simple but impressive pre-sales simulation examples
- Provide first-level support by phone and Email
- Present COMSOL’s capabilities at seminars and training courses
- Give demos at customer sites
- Interact with our worldwide development and support teams
- Limited travel, primarily day trips within Switzerland
Requirements:
- Native-level fluency in German or French, and additionally in English
- Masters or Ph.D. in engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences
- Experience with finite element analysis and/or similar PDE-solving methods – preferably in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or Electromagnetism
- Excellent time-management skills – balancing multiple demands from many prospects
- Positive, upbeat, outgoing personality. Business acumen
- Excellent communications skills, in person, on the phone and in writing. Strong public speaking skills
- Highly motivated, able to work independently as well as part of a growing team
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Not Mandatory but of Great Advantage
- Familiarity with COMSOL Multiphysics
- Previous sales experience is advantageous but not mandatory, but you must have enthusiasm for helping potential customers solve their problems with COMSOL Multiphysics.
