Submitting abstracts, papers, and posters to the COMSOL Conference
Who owns the copyright of submissions? 
You will retain all ownership rights to the copyrights in the submissions. Since the license
granted to COMSOL is non exclusive; there are no limits on your right to publish and distribute such
contributed materials. For details, refer to the
Copyright Notice at the end of the submission form.
How will COMSOL publish and distribute my submissions? 
COMSOL will publish submitted material in the Proceedings CD (distributed at the COMSOL
Conference) and in the COMSOL Conference CD (published after the conferences and distributed to
people who have an interest in receiving it). Submitted material will also be published on the
COMSOL 'Papers and Presentations' website, and may be used in
COMSOL presentations and the like that relate to the submitted material, and be sent to people
interested in submitted material. For details refer to the
Copyright Notice at the end of the submission form.
Who is going to review my abstracts? 
Abstracts and papers will be reviewed by the COMSOL Conference Program Committee, a panel
of experts in their respective fields familiar with multiphysics modeling.

Which are the main deadlines? 
The final abstract submission deadline is on August 31st. You will receive a reduced
registration rate of INR 1600 if you submit your abstract by July 13th. More information about the
deadlines can be found at the
Call For Papers page.
Is it possible to edit my abstract after I've submitted it? 
You can edit your abstract
anytime before the Final Abstract Submission deadline.
Which instructions should I follow to submit an abstract, paper or poster? 
Instructions for authors have been made available here.
To submit an abstract you should provide the Program Committee with a
500 word maximum length text and at least one figure with a caption.
Which are the suggested topic areas of the COMSOL Conference? 
The suggested topic areas can be found here.
We recommend you to submit your abstract even if your topic is not listed.
Your abstract will be assigned to a relevant topical area.
I am planning to submit a poster, should I bring it with me to the COMSOL Conference? 
No. We will print the poster and display it for you during the COMSOL Conference.
If you wish to take your poster with you, you can take it down after 6.00 PM on November 3rd.
May I choose in which format I would like to present my abstract? 
COMSOL Conference presentations take place in the following formats:
Oral Presentation, Poster Presentation and Both Oral & Poster Presentation.
During
the submission process you will be able to indicate how you would prefer to present your work at the conference.

Who can register to the COMSOL Conference? 
Anyone can register to the COMSOL Conference. Register online at
our registration page.
Register now and save on the registration fee.
What is included in the conference registration? 
The conference registration fee grants you admission to all events: general sessions, minicourses,
demo stations, user presentations, keynotes, panel discussions, and the poster session. In addition,
coffee breaks, two lunches, one breakfast and one dinner are provided.
Is a registration package available? 
Yes, it is. The registration package includes the Conference Proceedings CD and a trial
license for the prerelease of the newest version of COMSOL Multiphysics.
I would like to participate in the hands-on minicourses,
should I bring a laptop with me? 
Yes, you should. And note that the minicourse sessions fill up fast, so
register now to secure a seat.
How do I get from the airport or the railway station to the conference?
The conference located is 32 Km from the Bangalore International Airport.
Being centrally located the venue is easily accessible by cabs and public transport.
