Wave Optics Simulations

The COMSOL Wave Optics Module enables full-wave electromagnetic simulation to study diffraction, absorption, scattering, and other phenomena. The innovative beam envelopes method allows for the simulation of optical systems with geometries that are substantially larger than the wavelength and without any loss of accuracy. Applications including nonlinear optical waveguides, directional couplers, metamaterials, and scattering by nanoparticles will be discussed.

The webinar includes a live demonstration of the Wave Optics Module and will conclude with a 15-minute Q&A session.

Linus Andersson

Linus Andersson received his M.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He joined COMSOL in 2003, after completing his diploma thesis at CERN, Switzerland. Linus is the assistant manager of global technical customer support and an applications engineer specializing in electromagnetics and acoustics.
