Simulating Electrochemical Systems with COMSOL Multiphysics

The accurate simulation of electrochemical applications such as electrolysis, electrodialysis, electroanalysis, electrochemical sensors, and bioelectrochemistry requires tools capable of modeling multiple physical effects and their interactions. This webinar presents how electrochemical reactions, mass transport, and current densities can be modeled and coupled together to achieve high-fidelity results. COMSOL Multiphysics and the Electrochemistry Module offer ease-of-use and complete support to analyze and optimize electrochemical applications involving material diffusion in solutions, as well as material advection caused by fluid flow. During the live demonstration, an electrochemical analysis will be set up and solved. The webinar concludes with a 15-minute Q&A session.

Dr Edmund Dickinson

Edmund studied chemistry at the University of Oxford from 2004 to 2008. He then continued on for a doctorate at Oxford, researching the charge and mass transfer properties of electrolyte solutions. He joined COMSOL as an application engineer in 2012, where he specializes in chemistry, heat transfer and fluid flow.
