Transformer and Inductor Modeling with COMSOL Multiphysics

Electrical grids carry power over distances at high voltages and low currents in order to minimize transmission losses. Transformers are key components in minimizing these losses, and improving their reliability and performance has huge potential value. Multiphysics simulation techniques allow for an accurate design of transformers and inductors by including coupled thermal and electrical effects such as joule heating. This webinar shows how to model inductive couplings and features a demonstration of how to simulate a transformer in COMSOL Multiphysics. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session.
