Multiphysics and Multimaterial Design with COMSOL

Engineering structures are inherently multimaterial and multiphysics in nature. However,
they are usually designed by only considering the dominant physics and material property.
Recent developments at the PDE level, and in modern multiphysics software, allows
us to design for Multiphysics and Multimaterial properties.

This webinar will provide an overview of multiphysics simulations by combining these
phenomena with the mechanics arising from multimaterial properties. The computational
simulations of the material properties lead to the prediction of structural, thermal, acoustics,
and electromagnetic behaviour. The macro, micro, and nano scale effects of multimaterial
composites will also be discussed. In all, the link between multiphysics simulations and
multimaterial engineering applications and their design will be detailed.
