Introduction

This course is of interests to professionals with some knowledge of fluid mechanics to analyze fluid flow problems using COMSOL Multiphysics in realistic situations/configurations. The course covers both CFD theory as well as practical applications. Participants will be introduced to CFD principles, governing equations, physics models, capabilities of the software, problem setup, and post-processing and result visualization. A comprehensive overview of the CFD Module will be given as well as hands-on exercises for different types of fluid mechanics problems.

  • RANS methods for Turbulence

Suggested Background

This course assumes some familiarity with the basic concepts of fluid dynamics. We strongly recommend that those new to COMSOL Multiphysics take the COMSOL Multiphysics Intensive Training course prior to attending this class.

Course Hours

The hours for all COMSOL courses are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; please plan to check in between 8:30 and 9:00 am. Lunch and refreshments during the morning and afternoon breaks are included.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that your seat in the course can not be confirmed until payment or a formal purchase order have been received.

Instructor-led training tuition is fully refundable if we receive written notification (via mail or e-mail) of cancellation on or before seven business days prior to the class. Cancellations made less than seven business days prior to class will be charged 25 percent of the course tuition fee. If you fail to show up to class without written notice, you will be charged the full tuition. You may send a substitute in your place to avoid a fee.

If a training course cannot take place as scheduled due to circumstances beyond COMSOL's control, we will issue a full refund for the amount that you have already paid.
