Introduction
The course introduces you to the simulation of heat transfer by conduction, convection and radiation with the
Heat Transfer Module of COMSOL Multiphysics. Based on the actual practice in modeling of
heat transmission, heating and cooling systems you will learn the workflow to create successful models: geometry handling, physics, meshing, solving and postprocessing.

He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics, and has developed his expertise in many different areas: linear and non-linear solver techniques, engineering applications in oil transport, air purification and groundwater flows, and multiscale modelling such as the global ocean flow and underground CO2 storage. As a former assistant professor, he has extensive experience as both a mathematics and modelling instructor.

Suggested Background
This course is suitable for anyone interested in using COMSOL Multiphysics for the mathematical modeling of physics phenomena. An advanced undergraduate/beginning graduate level of engineering or science education is assumed. Also assumed is some familiarity with the fundamentals of heat transfer. Attendees should have an understanding of the COMSOL GUI, model building methods, and multiphysics finite element methods.

Cancellation Policy
Please note that your seat in the course can not be confirmed until payment
or a formal purchase order have been received.
Instructor-led training tuition is fully refundable if we receive written
notification (via mail or e-mail) of cancellation on or before seven business
days prior to the class. Cancellations made less than seven business days prior
to class will be charged 25 percent of the course tuition fee. If you fail to
show up to class without written notice, you will be charged the full tuition.
You may send a substitute in your place to avoid a fee.
If a training course cannot take place as scheduled due to circumstances
beyond COMSOL's control, we will issue a full refund for the amount that you
have already paid.
