Earth Science Module

This module is well suited for simulating oil and gas
flow in porous media, groundwater flow, and the
spread of pollution through soil.

Ready-made interfaces make it easy to model single
and coupled processes related to subsurface flow. In
addition, the module handles the transport and reac-
tion of solutes as well as heat transport in porous
media through multiphysics modeling.

Geophysical and environmental phenomena involve
many different processes, and therefore physics, affect-
ing each other. The Earth Science Module provides
many multiphysics examples, such as the coupling
between flow and structural deformation in various
applications including petroleum extraction, dewatering
and carbon sequestration.
