Simulation of components and processes becomes more and more important in industry; therefore it is necessary to train young engineers how to apply simulation software. We established two consecutive courses for graduate students in which we decided to focus on COMSOL Multiphysics®, because it is widely utilized in industry and very intuitive to handle. To achieve an excellent education for the students, different didactical methods were developed. There is a lot of literature on the use of COMSOL Multiphysics® in education available, but these papers basically focus on the application to understand the underlying phys., biol. or chem. phenomena. The educational aspects are not the main objective. With the presentation of our Courses we want to close the gap.
