StructuredA model can be built by following the branches in the tree structure , from parameter definition and geometry creation to visualization of the simulation results. Nodes are added at will to refine and improve your model as it evolves into a true description of your applications.

In ControlThe Model Builder allows instant access to any part of the model settings -- changes in one node will update all others. You can even record the steps of your set-up as a sequence of nodes, pausing the process at any stage to investigate, refine and optimize a modeling feature.

All InclusiveA turbine stator blade, in the high-pressure stage of a gas turbine, is heated by the combustion gases. To prevent the stator from melting, air is passed through a cooling duct in the blade. The resulting temperature gradients introduce signifi cant stresses. Shown is the temperature distribution throughout the blade, as well as the von Mises stresses in both welds.

COMSOL 4.0 GUISimulation of a Rzeppa constant velocity joint using COMSOL Multiphysics Version 4. All model settings are controlled directly from the Model Builder and its context based Settings window. The Graphics window displays the displacements of the joint when the shaft reaches the maximum angle. Model courtesy of Metelli S.p.A. (Cologne, Italy)
