Free Conference CD Highlights 229 Multiphysics Applications
Presented at COMSOL User Meetings in the US and Europe
BURLINGTON, MA (November 11, 2005)-Just in the past two months, the COMSOL Group of companies has organized an international series of Multiphysics Meetings where users of COMSOL Multiphysics and related products gathered to exchange experiences and refine their modeling skills. The COMSOL Conference CD contains the full proceedings from these meetings along with presentation slides and even ready-to-run model files that were discussed. The COMSOL Conference CD is available at no charge to interested individuals upon request at www.comsol.com/conference2005/cd.
"During these conferences, held in Boston, Stockholm, Oslo, Frankfurt, Birmingham (UK), Paris, and Milan, attendees had access to an enormous wealth of knowledge about the applications of multiphysics modeling," comments COMSOL VP of Marketing Bernt Nilsson. The COMSOL Conference CD contains all 229 reviewed papers (in PDF format) that were published in the proceedings in various countries; many of those from Europe were given in English. Just some of the topical areas of discussion include bioengineering, chemical engineering and fluid dynamics, earth science, electromagnetics, acoustics, electrochemistry, structural mechanics, MEMS, and modeling in the classroom. PowerPoint presentations accompany many of the user presentations on the CD, making it possible to quickly grasp the purpose and benefits of the projects. Another highlight consists of 30 COMSOL Multiphysics models upon which the presenters' work is based, models that others can include in their own simulation projects. In addition, this digital compilation holds the PowerPoint presentations from more than 40 keynote/plenary talks including those from several COMSOL executives discussing our latest products - including the Reaction Engineering Lab - and a future outlook for COMSOL developments.
Users who were unable to attend this year's conferences will have an opportunity to do so next year. The date for the COMSOL Multiphysics Conference in Boston has already been set for October 22-24, 2006.
