Using the MEMS Module in the classroom

Almost every MEMS application benefits from multiphysics modeling. The MEMS Module offers a convenient way for both students and instructors to set up models in this area of study through features such as:
- Easy-to-use modeling interfaces —The MEMS Module offers interfaces covering modeling in electrostatics, structural mechanics, piezoelectricity, microfluidics, two-phase flow, and electrokinetic flow.
- Predefined multiphysics couplings—A number of easy-to-use couplings address fluid-structure interaction, thermal-structural interaction, film damping, electroosmotic flow, piezoelectricity, and electro-thermal interaction. They allow for the modeling of any application in microelectromechanical systems
- Full flexibility— An ability to describe properties, sources, sinks, and couplings as arbitrary functions of the modeled variables
- Model Library—More than 30 fully documented example models from customers as well as those based upon scientifically published papers are available. These come from applications such as microfluidic and piezoelectric components and devices, as well as sensors and actuators
