Simulation Software Makes Major Contributions to Multiple Aspects of Auto-Part Design Manufacturing

As a major supplier of automobile components, Metelli S.p.A. (Cologne, Italy) designs and manufactures brake parts, engine parts, transmission components and water pumps for OEMs as well as for the aftermarket. Our R&D team has been using modeling software for a decade, but a few years ago we ran into a situation where the software we had been using was inadequate. We then found that COMSOL Multiphysics could handle the job — and in the meantime, we have successfully used COMSOL in an increasing number of projects.
