New LiveLink for Solid Edge
The new LiveLink™ for Solid Edge® provides a bidirectional interface for transferring CAD data to a from the Solid Edge CAD software.
New Functionality in the CAD Import Module
- During import of external CAD data you can select the Remove redundant edges and vertices check box to remove such edges and vertices when importing the geometry. By default this option is not selected, so COMSOL imports the geometry keeping all edges and vertices.
- The file-based CAD import (in the CAD Import Module and all MCAD LiveLink products) now supports the following updated file formats:
- Catia V5 R22
- Parasolid V25

- Added support for AutoCAD 2013.
