In this minicourse, we we will discuss and demonstrate the functionality available in the Definitions node of the Model Builder. This node includes probes, functions, interpolations, integration techniques, component couplings, and more.

Structural Mechanics and Acoustics

This minicourse will cover the rich physics involved in structural analysis and acoustics as well as the interactions between them. Interactive examples include transducers, speakers, microphones, SAW filters, smartphones, medical sensors, and many others. We will discuss the range of material models (linear and nonlinear) you can choose from; loading and support conditions; and linking between solids, shells, plates, and beams.

Optimization Minicourse

Learn to use gradient-based optimization techniques and constraint equations to define and solve problems in shape, parameter, and topology optimization, as well as inverse modeling. The techniques shown are applicable for almost all types of models.
