Back to Events Calendar

Tune into this webinar to learn about charged particle optics simulations. You will learn how to compute the trajectories of ions, electrons, atoms, and molecules in the presence of electric and magnetic forces.

The electric and magnetic fields can be entered as expressions or solved for using the finite element method (FEM). A Monte Carlo collision algorithm can also be included to model the effects of rarefied background gases.

A variety of particle release features, boundary conditions, and specialized results analysis tools will also be demonstrated.

The webinar will include a live demo of the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and the Particle Tracing Module. Attendees can ask questions during the webinar and the concluding Q&A session.
