Multiphysics simulations provide cost-effective solutions for understanding and optimizing batteries. In this webinar, the modeling of scenarios such as battery performance management, capacity fade and aging, internal short circuits, and thermal management will be presented.

The main focus of this webinar will be on lithium-ion batteries. We will also give a brief overview of other chemistries, including next-generation batteries like all-solid-state lithium-ion and lithium-air batteries. In addition, you will see a live demo in the COMSOL Multyphysics® software, where simulation strategies based on the homogenized porous electrode theory, single-particle approach, lumped methodologies, and heterogeneous models are available.
