Modelling Calcium pump in Sarcomere

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am pretty new to Comsol, so this might be a simple question.

I'm working on a project to model calcium transport in a sarcomere (small piece of a muscle).
What i'm trying to do in a part of this model, is to create a pump that pumps calcium from the sarcoplasmic reticulum (domain 1) to the myoplasm (domain 2), however the rate at which the pump works is dependent on both the concentration of calcium in domain 1 and the concentration of calcium in domain 2.

I tried to model this using the Transport of Diluted Species, however, i don't know how to use the concentration from one domain to determine the reaction rate (pump rate) in another domain.

Thanks in advance.
