Hello
I am working on linear generator (moving magnet ) and couldn't able to put an expression in Prescribed Mesh Displacement for magnets (Prescribe z displacement in moving mesh ale). Can anyone help me with the expression, if i need frequency of 10 Hz and the displacement of 40 mm.

Hi Aman,

The following example model of a tubular generator will be useful here.

In addition, you might want to refer to this blog post as well:

Hello Nirmal,

Thank you for your response. Got a clearer picture about linear generator simulation.
But now the issue is in time dependent solution , the following error is been showing up every time.

"Undefined value found.
- Detail: Undefined value found in the equation residual vector.
There are 269 degrees of freedom giving NaN/Inf in the vector for the variable r.
at coordinates: (0.014,0.03), (0,0.03), (0.014,0.0290231), (0.014,0.0280462), (0.0131986,0.0282273), ...
- Feature: Stationary Solver 1 (sol1/s1) ".

Hope you can provide a solution for this.

Best Regards,
Aman Saha
