Extracting the legend data of color table

Hello everyone,

I am working on a project, which is web based visualization. The task is using Java API to extract the binary data and then draw the plots on browser with WebGL.

I want to extract the legend data of color table (the spectral information) and after I go over the programming reference manual, I can't find the corresponding APIs to extract the legend data. Can anyone help me? Is there any way to get the binary data of color table legend?
