Cut Edge Deformation Plot is Missing Data Points

Hi everyone, I currently have a problem where if I take the vertical deformation plot along a cut edge data set in the center of my model I get a very uncharacteristic triangular profile. Meanwhile, when I plot the vertical deformation along a cut edge data set of the same length but translated in one dimension to the end of my model, I get the smooth profile that I expect.

I have attached images of the cut data sets and the meshing that surrounds them as well as the vertical deformation plots that they yield.

If it helps, the center cut edge is along a domain partition which I made in order to be able to select that edge in the first place. Furthermore, if I put a cut line just below the surface, I get a much smoother profile but I want the edge for more accurate results.

Please let me know if you need more information. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
