Dynamic analysis of a rotating ring

Hi,

I am trying to solve a dynamic problem of a in plane motion of a ring.
I would like to force the ring to vibrate in its resonant frequency (elliptical mode shape) and then rotate the structure to see how much the mode shape lags behind the frame.
This effect is known as Bryan's effect discovered by Bryan in 1890. The idea of the simulation that I have in mind is demonstrated in the following youtube video.

My main concerns are
1) forcing the ring to vibrate at its resonant frequency with its associated elliptical mode shape.
2) rotating the frame with a constant angular velocity.
3) tracking the mode shape with respect to the rotating frame.

I use Comsol Multiphysics 5.0 with Multibody dynamics module.

Thank you very much,
Amir
