About the units in global function expression

The question is about the units in global function expression.

I'm learning the case "Heat Recovery System for a Geothermal Heat Pump" (https://www.comsol.com/model/heat-recovery-system-for-a-geothermal-heat-pump-18529). In the Global function definition T_z0, the expression is "T_z0(month[a]/12)[1/ degC]+T_zdepth[m/K]*(-z)". However, the unit for T_z0 should be degC. Why the "1/degC" is used in the expression? I found that all the units in expression is the reciprocal of the units that they should be. Could someone please explain why such situation happens?

Thanks!!
