Memory problems

Hi,
im using Comsol for just a month. Unfortunatlly i have a 32bit Xp Version. I only can use 3.2GB of the 4GB memory i have.
My problem is, that when i run a simulation i get the "Out of memory" message, when the actually used memory is about 1.5GB. I can see that in the "Task-Manager"
Why is that? Shouldn´t it be at least about 2.5GB? Can someone please help me? How can i increase that?
