cyclic voltammetry

Is it really so that the ready-made cyclic voltammetry node is valid only for 1D? I am able to do my CV simulation in 2D or 3D by using the Transport of Dilutes Species node, but I stumbled to the above question when I tried to demonstrate Comsol in front of a class...rather embarrassing :)

I made a 1D model (very easy) and then copied it to 2D geometry; the result was mad.
