Automatic remeshing based on distortion

I’d like to use automatic remeshing with a stop condition based on distortion but I’m encountering an error in the attached model because the default distortion expression (sqrt(comp2.spatial.l1isoMax)) is an “unknown variable”. I was thinking this might have to do with the variable name being wrong since this is for a second component but I have the same problem in a one component model too. I also checked that I have the correct geometry selected in the “remesh in geometry” list. I'd appreciate any ideas on how to fix this.
