Rotational Friction

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everybody, I have checked out your blogs but I have not been able to find how to do a 3D simulation that get  the heat from the friction between two boundaries with only relative rotational speed. I want to use the node "contact" but I am not sure if a rotational movement is supported.

Hello Luis Gonzalez

I also want to build a frictional heat model, but I have encountered the same problem as you. How did you solve it?

Thank you

At the moment, I have suppossed the thermal behavior as a function of the radius and the thermal contact pressure. Then, I am working on the mecanical phenomenom.
