How can I find a COMSOL open source files through "Model ID"

Many COMSOL forums have advice that references certain model IDs. How exactly do we find these open source models with just the Model ID?

For example, I am interested in Model ID 1974, a supposed model that highlights the use of periodic structures. I've tried using this ID on COMSOL's video gallery search bar, within COMSOL's Application Library, and so on, with no luck on how to use this information.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks!

Hello "KF",

They are referencing the COMSOL Application Gallery, which is a section of our website: https://www.comsol.com/model/ . In that section of the website you'll find a search engine; you can search for "1974" and you will find that model. Alternatively, you can simply go to https://www.comsol.com/model/1974 .

Best regards,

Jeff

Hi,

To complement Jeff's answer above, in version 5.6 of the COMSOL Multiphysics, you can search for models and apps in the Application Libraries window in the COMSOL Desktop using the model ID and the keyword @appdb. For example, if your license includes the Structural Mechanics Module, searching for

@appdb:10314

returns all the bracket tutorial models, which are also available in the online Application Gallery: https://www.comsol.com/model/bracket-8212-structural-mechanics-tutorials-10314

Best regards,
