Shear Stress Estimation in imported CAD geometry

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi there,

I'm a student of the ETH Zürich and I'm new to COMSOL. For my bachelor thesis I need an estimation of the shear stress felt by a 2D layer of cells located at the bottom of a petry dish with a flow of flowing at a certain distance above the cells. I created the geometry and imported it, and after setting the parameters I did the simulation for the flow.

What I'd like to do now is to compute the shear stress felt at a certain height from the bottom, or ideally exactly at the bottom (where the cells are) but I couldn't find a way. Is it possible to do it with COMSOL?

I attach the file, in case you need it to see what I've done.

I would be very thankful if someone could give me an advice or direct me to a site/platform where I can find an answer.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Marco
