Spatial derivative of general extrusion

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am simulating the magnetic field in a model that has a 2D-axisymmetric component and a 3D component. I use a general extrusion to transfer the magnetic field from the axisymmetric model to the 3D model. For example, I transfer the Bz field from 2D to 3D using "comp1.genext1(withsol('sol1',mfnc.Bz))" defined in the 3D component. This works fine, but if I want to take the spatial derivative of Bz, I get zero. Is it possible to take the spatial derivative of the result of the general extrusion, perhaps by changing the order of the interpolation function used for the extrusion?

Thank you,

Alex
