How do I give a geometry a domain?

I am modeling a loudspeaker driver and need to set the materials for the components. This has worked fine for some of the parts, but certain geometrys don't have domains that I can ascribe materials to.
As you can see from the picture the parts shaded grey already have a material but the two white parts need to be given domains in order to be given materials.
How do I give them a domain first?
