Ray direction vector

Hi all I'm using Ray release from Grid feature in Ray optics .I want my ray to release in negative z-axis but if I put -1 in the 'z' column of Ray direction vector ,I get an error .

Can someone help me in how can I assign negative z-axis direction to my ray ?
