Interpretation of Eigene value solution

Hi all
i have a doubt regarding the interpretation of the eigene value solvers solution in RF module ....

i learned that, neff_rfwb for the boundary mode analysis signifies some thing like this...

neff_rfwb = gamma / k0 = beta/k0 - j alpha/ k0 (alpha is attenuation)

is this interpretaion correct!!!
