modelling of elctro magnet-problem to define current density J0

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi
I am trying to create model of cylinder in 3D. The cylinder is parallel to the Z-axis .
J0 vector defined in this way : X-axsis:J0*y/sqrt(x^2+y^2) ;Y-axsis:J0*x/sqrt(x^2+y^2) ;Z-axsis:0

The problem is that after a Comsol finishes to solve, the presentation of external current density by streamline in the plot , i got very strange contours, not like circular loops on the cylinder.

Can somebody help me with this issue?

Maybe i should to define current direction shape as helix (spiral)? If yes so how to do it?

One more thing how to define J0 vector while the cylinder have offset of alpha angle from the Z-axis?

In the picture the blue cylinders are the electro- magnets

Thanks in advance
Dimitri
