Boundary Integration / Integration Order

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello there,

I'm performing a boundary integration to get normal current density. I have used a swept mesh over my entire device. Does it imply I have to change the integration order? I get a value for integration order 1 and for integration orders: 2, 3 and "Auto" I get another higher value (2,3 and "Auto" release same value). For some reason I think order 1 release a value more realistic.

BTW: The function involved in this boundary is of the form x cosh (y) where x and y variables are coming from solutions of other modules.

Thanks in advance,

-Omar

Hi

I consider the integration order as basically step integration (1), triangular (2) (I might be off by one havnt checked) or higher order polynomial fit integration, so I usually use higher orders such as 2 or 4

But it's true one could check ona second or third order equation just as a verification

Have fun Comsoling
