Evaluating electrostatic potential in an expression defining initial kinetic energy of particle

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,
I have a simulation model which does charged particle tracing in an electrostatic device. I would like to start particles at different points (x,y,z) such that their kinetic energy is E0-q*V(x,y,z) where V(x,y,z) is the solution of the electrostatic problem. I have two separate physics (electrostatics and cpt) and two separate studies in my model. I am using the ReleaseFromGrid node to emit particles at defined coordinates; this node has the option to define the initial kinetic energy. How can I refer to the solution of the electrostatic problem in this expression?
Thank you
Daniel
