How can I set up Solid-Liquid Phase Change Simulation in comsol 4.0

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am new to the software and finding it very hard to get started. all the examples I have are for comsol 3.5
Iam a structural Engineer and not used to some of the physics terms

I want to use numerical methods to model heat transfer problems for Phase Change Materials such as paraffin with the enthalpy method and the heat capacity method.

Have plenty of information on the theory but can not work comsol 4.0

Thanks for your help

Hi

I am also a relatively new COMSOL 4.0a user, and I am working on similar simulation involving the Enthalpy method.

If you are still interested, I think this documentation would be useful to start with:
