Temperature dependent and irreversible material properties

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am trying to model transient processes of an element with temperature dependent material properties.
The functions that characterize the material properties while the temperature rises
up to a threshold value, are different from ones while the temperature falls.

In some cases I want the value of a temperature dependent material property to maintain
the value at the threshold point, independently of the latter temperature variations.

Does anyone have an idea of how can I express that in the Comsol expression or function domains?
I would probably solve the problem if I could save a model's state of a specific time step and use it
as reference at latter time steps. Can I do this somehow?

Thanks in advance,
Ilias Zacharias
