Could someone help me understand why the units for Current Density in Electrostatics module mentioned as A/m3?

I am getting really confused with the units here (A/m3). Current density is supposed to be A/m2, right? In my model I have a thin electrode sitting on a conductive cylinder and I am basically injecting current. Now, I would think the current density would be A/m2 at the interface area?
