Hi, everybody

I got a line graph of the result when solve a PDE problem. In surprise, it is step like and the difference value of vertical axis is very small. why?

The jpg file is in the attachmen.

Thank you.

youf.

Hi

it depends I believe how you get the value, if it's a deriative of some other function you could get such result, or you have a coarse mesh and no interpolation in between, many thins can explain a step function

Good luck

Hi, Ivar

Thanks for your help.

The problem occurs when the finer mesh has been used. But in surprise, The line graph turns smooth if the data is expored to the sofeware Origin. So I guess that some options should be setted in Comsol to satisfy the aim.

youf.
