EIgen frequency study

May I know how COMSOL simulates for the eigen frequency of a model; to which no external energy is inputted ?

Hi

that is the principle of an eigenfrequency analysis, its a pure "theoretical" calculations, also why you have no bounds on the displacements, you get huge displacements, depending on the normalisation. Check most (good) books on FEM eigenfrequency theory
