Attenuation in travelling wave applicators

Hi, is it possible to use COMSOL Multiphysics to simulate microwave attenuation in a liquid located at the center of a rectangular waveguide (Industrial Microwave Heating A.C. Metaxas and R.J. Meredith, see Fig. 1)?

I have identified the equation governing this attenuation and am seeking an independent method for cross-validation.

Yes, you can insert a domain with specified electromagnetic properties in a waveguide and calculate the resulting attenuation.
