To clarify (for those like me who do not normally work in your field), can you explain a little more about the physics you want to model? I'm guessing that this is for some kind of electromagnetic application. Electrostatics? Microwaves? A grid of probes involving electro- or bio-chemistry? What do you actually want to investigate & compute? Your options in Comsol Multiphysics and the best/correct choices of boundary conditions (among many other settings), will generally depend on the physics you are studying and what you seek to compute. Likewise, that will also determine if a 2D representation is sufficient to capture the physics that applies.

Hello !
Thanks for your answer: I would like to apply semi-conductor physics, as well as piezoelectric physics. The principle of my device is to use piezoelectric and semi-conducting properties of cylinders, and to use cylinders as sensors for dynamical flows.
Do you need any other info ?

Offhand, "dynamical flows" doesn't sound like a Floquet periodicity type of problem to me, but this is too far from my specialties. So I encourage others on on this forum with more knowledge on such topics to offer their suggestions.
