The Wave Optics Module is an add-on to COMSOL Multiphysics for full-wave electromagnetic simulation providing design and optimization capabilities for applications including directional couplers, metamaterials, scattering by nanoparticles, and nonlinear optical waveguides.
The COMSOL Wave Optics Module features the innovative beam envelope method that enables the simulation of optically large systems where the wavelength is substantially smaller than the system geometry. Absorption, scattering, diffraction, and other optical phenomena can be readily investigated using this module.
