I want to calculate the angular velocity of a turbine with an applied force on its blades. which modules do i need for this simulation?
THANX

Hi

Basic COMSOL should do, you need to use a calindrical coordinate system, and define a few variables. Part of this is done in the structural module. Anyhow if you enter a force you need some damping to get to a constant velocity to have an energy balance, otherwise it would never stop accelerating ;)

you have also the example of torque and moment load in the 3.5a structural doc that show how to define global equations, in V4 you have also the rigid connectors, and velocity as well as acceleration fields for temporal analysis

Good luck

Thank you but how I can get the angular velocity in postprocess level? I solved the it but I couldn't find the answer in the plots and data...
