Hello, i write this expression for an electric field (sqrt(240nP)/w)exp(-((y-S/2)^2+z^2)/w^2)exp(j2(pi/L)*((y-S/2)^2)+z^2+x^2). the expected answer should be [V/m]. But i get the message ΄INCONSISTENT UNIT΄. what am i writting wrong?? P: laser power w [m] S [m].

Any help will be valuable thanks in advance

Hello Irene,

In your formula,

  • What are the dimensions of n? Did you specify them in the model?
  • Is "240" dimensionless? If not, make sure to declare its units between square brackets (e.g. ).

Best,

Jeff
