Three-Phase Mixer

This model simulates the separation and mixing of a suspension with light and heavy particles. Initially the distribution of both particle populations is homogeneous throughout the fluid. Before the impeller starts rotating, the fluid and the two particle populations tend to separate since the light particles rise to the top of the tank and the heavy particles sediment at the bottom. When the suspension is stirred, the three phases mix again.
